SVPW would like to extend a HUGE congratulations to former 2012 Midget Charger OWEN FELLOWS!!! 

Owen attended the Pop Warner National Little Scholars Banquet in Boston over Memorial Day Weekend where over $103,000 worth of scholarships were awarded to 79 hard working recipients from across the country.  

Owen was awarded a $1,000 scholarship.  Of the 79 scholarships awarded, Owen was the ONLY recipient from OEC...what a great accomplishment!

CONGRATULATIONS OWEN!!!  WE ARE PROUD OF YOU!!!

Saddleback Valley Pop Warner Football and Cheer covers residents of the following cities: Lake Forest, Foothill Ranch, Mission Viejo, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel and Aliso Viejo.  Nearby open areas include Irvine and San Juan Capistrano.  Teams are comprised of children from all cities--we do not form teams based on geographic areas. If you do not live in one of our cities, you must obtain a residency waiver from your "home association" in order to participate with SVPW. 

Registration fee includes: uniform rental, picture package, and a trophy, spirit pack (practice uniform--players get sized for those items at in person registration).

Ages shown below are as of July 31, 2013 and weights are as of the certification date (to be held in August). There are no weight restrictions for our flag football players. All players must meet the criteria below in order to participate in our program.


Division/Ages/Weights:

All ages are as of July 31st, 2013:
Tiny Mite: ages 5 & 6 between 35-75 pounds AND 7 year olds between 35-55 pounds 
Jr Mitey Mite: ages 7 & 8 between 45-90 pounds
Mitey Mite: ages 7, 8, & 9 between 45-90 pounds
Jr Pee Wee: ages 8, 9, 10 between 60-105 pounds AND 11 year olds between 60-85 pounds
Pee Wee: ages 9, 10, 11 between 75-120 pounds AND 12 year olds between 75-100 pounds
Jr Midget: ages 10, 11, 12 between 90-145 pounds AND 13 year olds between 90-120 pounds
Midget: ages 12, 13, 14 between 105-170 pounds AND 15 year olds between 105-140 pounds

If you are a new player, we'll also need you to provide a photocopy of your county birth certificate. Proof of birthdates are required by the conference and the birth certificates are placed in our team books.

Cheerleaders must meet the age criteria above. There are no weight restrictions for cheerleaders.

NO BUYOUTS FOR LEAGUE FUNDRAISING – other organizations require each participant to obtain sponsorships, sell community discount cards or candy to help support the league, most requiring a $100 - $150 mandatory amount per player!   WE DON'T!!!!  Our snack bars are our league fundraisers.  We ask for your time, not your money.  And, volunteers never work during their children's games.

GAMES – SVPW is a proud member of the Orange Empire Conference. Most of our games are played right here in Orange County, unlike other organizations that travel well into LA County. 

BEST EQUIPMENT – SVPW reconditions every helmet every year, which is more often than recommended by safety experts. We also replace at least 1/3 of our shoulder pads each year. 

UNIFORMS – Our teams wear tackle twill jerseys that are the latest style available right now! Each mascot (Bears, Chargers, Wolverines, Hawks, Cougars or Diablos) has their own unique design and our jerseys are the same design as our local high schools!! 

COACHES – SVPW has the best coaches! Each Head Coach goes through a rigourous screening process and interview. In addition, the local high schools that we partner with also provide training and clinics to all levels of coaches within our organization. Almost all coaches (both head coaches and assistants) also attend various coaching clinics in our area.  All adults who work with our children must pass a background check and are all required to attend some type of training. 

HOME GAME SITES – SVPW is pleased to partner with El Toro HS, Laguna Hills HS and Aliso Niguel HS for home game sites. All of our home games are played in football stadiums. 

NATIONALLY RANKED CHEER PROGRAM – SVPW has long been the premier youth cheer league in South Orange County. Most of our cheer teams hold National titles and over 95% of our cheerleaders make their local high school team. 

BOARD OF DIRECTORS – SVPW is fortunate to have long term board members who work countless hours to provide our participants the best youth football or cheer experience possible.

2013 Football Registration Fee $380: includes practice uniform (jersey, shorts, tee), rental of game uniform (2 jerseys, game pants, helmet and shoulder pads). Each player also gets a picture package and a trophy.

2013 Cheer Registration Fee $350: includes rental of game/competition uniform. Each cheerleader also gets a picture package and a trophy.
