Tiny Mite:
 

Head Coach: 
Traci August

1. Q: How many years have you been coaching and with SV?
A: This will be my 2nd year coaching with SV.

2. Q: What is your favorite thing about coaching for SV?
A: My favorite part of coaching was watching my little Tiny Mites perform out on the big, blue mats for their very first time.

3.Q: What is your proudest moment?
A: Watching my Mitey Mite daughter compete and win the Champions jacket at JAMZ Nationals Competition after breaking her arm during practice earlier in the season.

4. Q: What is a fun fact about you?
A: I have 6 kids and football is in my blood. I began cheerleading in 2nd grade and cheered all the way through college.

Assistant Coach: Whitney Barro


1. Q: How many years have you been coaching and with SV?
A: This will be my 1st year as an assistant coach for SV. Last year I was Team Mom.

2.Q: What is your favorite thing about coaching for SV?
A: We love everything about SV! My favorite thing was watching  our little Tiny Mites learn and grow as the season progressed. The girls exceeded our expectations and just had so much fun  together. It really is a blast to be a part of their journey.

3. Q: What is your proudest moment?
A: By far watching the Tiny Mites perform at the Long Beach Arena. Their sweet faces running back with their medals that they worked so hard to earn. I tear up just thinking about it!!


4. Q: What is a fun fact about you?
A: I was a Pop Warner Cheerleader back in my day, then went on to cheer for High School. My mom was a UCLA songleader - so we are a very spirited family!!

1. Q: How many years have you been coaching and with SV?
A: This will be my 5th year as Head Coach for SV. I started coaching Tiny Mite in 2016 for my daughters team and have coached her team up through the divisions. 

2. Q: What is your favorite thing about coaching for SV?
A: I love the cheer family camaraderie of SV, everyone supporting each other and cheering each other on every step of the way! Watching my team learn, grow and push to new heights every season as they get older is so amazing to watch!

3. Q: What is your proudest moment?
A: My proudest moment was watching our team hit zero on the National stage, then being announced as NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!! We had such big obstacles last season and moved mountains to get there! My girls earned that title through hard work, dedication and heart. I couldn't be more proud!! It was such a great life lesson for these young girls that if you believe in yourself and put in the hard work, you can achieve it!


4. Q: What is a fun fact about you?
A: I love to travel with my family! I'm always planning trips and new places to visit. My goal is to see as much of the world as possible with my husband and children. 


Assistant Coach: Jen Boroff 

1. Q: How many years have you been coaching and with SV?
A: This will be my 4th year coaching for SV.

2. Q: What is your favorite thing about coaching for SV?
A: My favorite thing about coaching with SV is watching the growth of the girls throughout the season. It's incredible how much they take on, grow and improve overall.

3. Q: What is your proudest moment?
A: My proudest moment was watching our girls taken 1st Place at JAMZ Nationals. They had an incredibly tough season and moved mountains to get where they were. Winning JAMZ was a complete testament to hard work paying off.

4. Q: What is a fun fact about you?

A: I'm a Kindergarten teacher by day.


Pee Wee:

Head Coach: Mekayla Cruz

1. Q: How many years have you been coaching and with SV?
A: This will be my 14th year with SV and my 8th year coaching.

2. Q: What is your favorite thing about coaching for SV?
A: My favorite part about coaching for SV is the family that we build and giving these girls a strong foundation to build off of for their future.

3. Q: What is your proudest moment?
A: Watching my girls cheer on the Challenger teams at OEC. Without me saying a word, they were up on their feet, cheering along with the teams and it brought tears to my eyes how inclusive and supportive these girls are.

4. Q: What is a fun fact about you?
A: I love country music! I go line dancing twice a week so I was able to use the musicality from those dances to put together an awesome cheer mix for our competition routine.


Jr. Varsity: 

Head Coach: Sami Tkach

1. Q: How many years have you been coaching and with SV?
A: This will be my 6th year coaching for SV.

2. Q: What is your favorite thing about coaching for SV?
A: My favorite thing about coaching is not only being a positive role model to these young girls but also teaching them that hard work and dedication truly pays off!

3. Q: What is your proudest moment?
A: My proudest moment was being crowned a Pop Warner National Champion and receiving a full paid bid to Globals.

4. Q: What is a fun fact about you?
A: I used to compete with a penny in my left shoe at all my cheer competitions for good luck.


Assistant Coach: Jenn McMahon

1. Q: How many years have you been coaching and with SV?
A: This will be my 7th year with SV and my 6th year coaching.

2. Q: What is your favorite thing about coaching for SV?
A: My favorite thing about coaching is spending time with my daughter and being able to help guide girls through the years as they mature.

3. Q: What is your proudest moment?
A: My proudest moment was taking home 1st Place at Nationals.

4. Q: What is a fun fact about you?

A: I love dogs! I have 4 right now. I also enjoy spending time with my kids and vacationing in the Caribbean on any of the tropical islands with my family!

Challenger:

Head Coach: Arcy Q

1. Q: How many years have you been coaching and with SV?
A: This will be my 11th year coaching for SV. I coached from 2003-2012 and came back in 2019.

2. Q: What is your favorite thing about coaching for SV?
A: My favorite part about coaching for SV is the long lasting friendships that are formed.

3. Q: What is your proudest moment?
A: My proudest moment was in 2012 winning both show cheer and performance cheer with a group of girls that had never cheered before.


4. Q: What is a fun fact about you?
A: I love to decorate Christmas trees!

Cheer Coordinator: Leanne Holguin

1. Q: How many years have you been with SV and in what capacity?
A: I coached for SV for 6 years. This will be my 5th year as Cheer Coordinator.

2. Q: What is your favorite thing about being Cheer Coordinator for SV?
A: My favorite part about being SV Cheer Coordinator is working with all the teams and helping them achieve their best.

3. Q: What is your proudest moment?
A: My proudest moment was winning 1st Place at Pop Warner Nationals.

4. Q: What is a fun fact about you?
A: I used to live in Germany.

Assistant Cheer Coordinator: Christie Moore

1. Q: How many years have you been with SV and in what capacity?
A: This will be my 5th year as Head Coach for SV and my 1st year as Assistant Cheer Coordinator.
